What sort of music do you play?
Having been DJing for over 20 years and with over 700 events played, no party has ever been the same! I pride myself on being diverse and able to play multi genres to suit the crowd I am playing to. I like to get an idea from clients before hand if there is anything specific required and any requests in advance.
Can you play themed nights?
Yes! I have experience in playing nights devoted to the 60s, 70s, 80s 90s, 00s or just modern floor fillers. I also have experience of events such as Bond nights, Christmas events, Masquerade Balls, Wild West nights...
How far do you travel?
I am based in the Southeast, sandwiched in between Farnham and Guildford. Predominately I cover the Southeast however I am willing to travel. I have even played abroad on occasions, including Tenerife and Ibiza.
What is your set up like?
I use a large star cloth lit DJ booth and a vast selection of modern lighting. At the majority of my events I have a lighting technician attend with me to assist in rigging up the set up and assisting me to create a clean professional look. No wires hanging out or anything looking untidy. Presentation is key for my private parties. I do not use a laptop to DJ - I appreciate this works for some but I always use proper professional mixing decks and I do everything live - Never pre-programmed.
Can I come and see you at a function you are playing?
90% of events I do are private functions. I also play public events in clubs such as Ministry of Sound and The Egg in London however the music I play at these events are unlikely to match what you would see me play at your event (but of course if you want me to I can!). I sometimes play charity events which are open to the public so please do feel free to ask! Alternatively, if you would like a reference I can put you in touch with any of my satisfied clients from previous functions.
How much do you charge?
It depends on the function, location, type of event and size of the venue. For each event I am asked to play I put together a tailor made quote for your consideration - Please do get in touch to discuss your requirements.
How long does it take you to set up?
We like to allow an hour and a half to 2 hours before the start time to set up. Sometimes it can be necessary to set up sooner depending on the logistics of the party arrangements - Feel free to discuss this with me.
Can you play alongside a band?
Yes - I have done this many times at weddings and corporate events. I have encountered many of them and happy to liaise with any band you book regarding timings etc. Over the years the best band I have encountered and can highly recommend is TNA - The New Ambassadors.
